The next 4 posts are rowing videos of either sprints or 2K paces that I am hoping to get some feedback on. You can view them or skip over them as you see fit.
Here are 10 strokes at a sub 7 minute 2K pace at drag 159 Damper 10
Hi Aaron, Bruce Kocher here. Quick look stuff. You need to sit up and move the seat forward to under you sit bones. You are back on the fleshy part of your a$$. Sit up and feel how your center of gravity is more forward and energized. This will enable you to be more efficient and powerful. It will also enable a longer reach forward while holding form in your lower back.
At the catch initiate with the legs not the shoulders. Your posture and movement at the catch is shoulders first. It's indicative of having too heavy a load. Put the damper at 0, yes, 0. Put the display on the kg force curve and try to make your curve look like a smooth mountain top. You have to smoothly initiate with the legs to do this.
You are dumping the oar handle into your lap at the finish. Not the worst of crimes but inefficient and a loss of energy. Smoothly pull the handle about to your solar plexus (sp?).
Overall, pretty good rowing. Fix where you sit on the seat first and your entire stroke will be much more efficient.
Bill If I lost the top and MANPRIS they would not allow me to post the video. I had to agreee to their rules to post it.Maybe I could make you that special video.
I know you didnt ask for my feedback, but you get it anyway. Lose the tanktop and capris.
